Tommy McNamara was a detective in the Fourth Precinct of the New York Police Department on New York Undercover.

Biography

Detective Tommy McNamara is an Irish-Italian American detective who transfers to the precinct to avenge the shooting death of his policeman father. His father was killed in the line of duty, with many suspecting that he was corrupt. Prior to his transfer to the Fourth Precinct, he had very little interaction with New York's African-American and Latino neighborhoods or police officers, so first he's got to prove to JC that a white cop can be bad enough to handle the hood. Tommy is shot to death by Nadine Jordan, whose gang he'd infiltrated while undercover.
